Welcome,

Frank P Hull, M.D.  F.A.A.S.M

Past Experiences

I entered the University of Pretoria Medical School in South Africa in 1985. I graduated in 1990 from the six-year program, with broad interests in many medical specialities. In 1991, I entered my first internship in Edendale Hospital, Pietermaritzburg. I rotated through Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Orthopedics, Psychiatry, and Medicine, gaining the skills needed for Family Practice. In 1992, I continued my training, rotating through Clinical Chemistry at the University of Natal, Durban and Pediatrics at the University of Pretoria. At this time, I left South Africa to avoid the mandatory military conscription. I practiced in Saskatchewan, Canada in the small town of Humboldt, where I had admitting privileges at the local hospital while maintaining an office practice. After this in 1994, I completed four months of work in Accident and Emergency Medicine in Nuneaton, England.
In 1997, I finished three years of Internal Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx NY. I then completed a three year fellowship at NYU Medical Center - Bellevue Hospital as a Pulmonary Critical Care Fellow. I graduated my fellowship in 2000 but stayed at NYU researching  Tuberculosis and then completing a sleep fellowship in 2001.

My time at NYU was very productive with notable achievements including obtaining my green card through my outstanding research, four international presentations at the American Thoracic Society, photographed for business week, and for my outstanding research on Tuberculosis.  I published part of my work on aerosol deposition in tuberculosis recently in Chest on June 2004.

In 2002 I left NYU and joined the faculty at Albert Einstein College of Medicine where I am  still on Faculty as Assistant Professor in Medicine

Current Experiences

In July 2003 I was recruited for my expertise to Broward Pulmonary and Sleep Disorders.  I am now intergral to the faculty and teaching of Students of Nova Southeastern Univesity and Staff at Broward General Medical Center.  I have conducted emergency room Grand Rounds at Broward General Medical Center as well as given many other lectures.

In between my busy hospital practice I see office based patients. So if you need my expertise go ahead and make your appointment today.
